In Gaza, killed over 61,709 Palestinians (the real death toll thought to be over 200,000)—including over 18,100 children. Injured over 111,674 people. More than 22,000 children are reported missing.
Killed over 223 journalists/media workers, over 1,200 healthcare workers, and at least 736 humanitarian workers in Gaza, the occupied West Bank, and Lebanon.
In the occupied West Bank, killed over 910 Palestinians—including at least 224 children. Injured over 7,100 people, illegally detain over 13,500 civilians in military prisons, including children and displaced more than 40,000 people
In Lebanon, killed over 4,080 civilians—including at least 200 children— and at least 16,800 injured. Over 1.2 million people have been displaced.

Sanctions are a form of economic pressure placed on a nation, in this case specifically to end complicity in Israel’s ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people. Countries have a legal obligation under international law to immediately sanction and stop arming Israel, as the International Court of Justice has advised. In September 2024, the UN General Assembly overwhelmingly voted for imposing sanctions on Israel.

The U.S. is the biggest funder, weapons supplier, and enabler of the Israeli military. An immediate arms embargo is necessary to cut off the endless supply of U.S. weapons and military funding, which Israel is using to mass murder Palestinian families. Why we must put pressure on our government;

Palestinians have been living under violent Israeli occupation for 77 years, long before Hamas’s attack on October 7th, 2023. They have been subject to unbelievable violence, oppression, genocide, and ethnic cleansing under this regime—with the assistance of the US. The most recent Israeli attacks on Gaza have been the most violent. The US can stop all of this.

How? The US not only funds this war but also funds Israel’s military yearly. Without the billions of dollars in aid that the US provides, Israel wouldn’t have the capacity to occupy land so violently, nor would it be able to slaughter innocent civilians by the thousands.

How much aid do we provide? From 1950 onward, the US has supplied 80% of Israel’s weapon imports and has given them nearly blank checks annually for their military defense spending → roughly $3.3 billion/year

Update- On Friday, January 3rd 2025, Joe Biden announced a request for $8 billion in weapons for Israel.

Update- On 01.24.25, Donald Trump lifted Biden’s sanctions on violent Israeli settlers in the occupied West Bank.
